What is it you would like to be remembered for?
Throughout the year teachers are always looking for ways that help my students discover themselves, their passions, strengths, and identify the skills that they will need to achieve their lifelong dreams. Mrs. Sinnott challenged her class to think about how they would like to be remembered this year and from this develop 'their sentence' - a phrase that defines how they want to be remembered in 2013! We watched the clip below to get us thinking about our goals and to prompt us to consider taking action to become the people we want to be! After some discussion we wrote and decorated our own sentences...check them out below! (Thank you to 4KM and 4KJ for their fabulous idea!) So tell us....What is your 'Sentence'?
What is it you would like to be remembered for?

When we begin a new school year we spend a lot of time getting to know each other. We like to find out where people are from, what they are interested in, what they dislike, their future hopes and ambitions and much more. Sharing this information with one another not only helps us to build new friendships, it also helps us to have a better understanding and acceptance of the differences we all share. As I was unable to attend last years Step-Up day and meet and greet you all, I have decided to introduce myself using an iPad app called Videoscribe.(Thanks to my Twitter friend for sharing). So what is it that makes you YOU?
What are your special interests? What is something that people don't often know about you that you would be willing to share? I am very excited to show you all exactly how many days, hours, minutes and seconds there are until we officially begin class in 5/6S! I have been busily preparing our classroom and our class website and blog, however I couldn't wait another two weeks to add a post as it looked rather boring. While you have been busy enjoying the holidays I have been busy connecting with teachers from across the world looking for classes that would like to blog with us in 2013, so I can't wait to introduce you all to the world of blogging....I know that you will love it as much as I do!
Enjoy the rest of your holiday and I look forward to meeting you all fresh and ready to learn in 17 days, 22 hours, 21 minutes and 53 seconds!! |
